ProSecIT Oy is a Helsinki-based cybersecurity and IT management consultancy built on decades of hands-on leadership experience in business-critical IT environments.
The company was founded to help organisations strengthen cybersecurity pragmatically and sustainably, combining technical security, governance models, risk management and the leadership of IT change.
ProSecIT works with private and public sector organisations in Finland and across Europe. Assignments range from focused advisory work and assessments to demanding, multi-year development programmes.
The work is founder-led and based on senior expertise. When needed, a trusted network of cybersecurity, IT and AI specialists is available.
ProSecIT's long-term goal is to use AI responsibly and pragmatically in cybersecurity development, improving how organisations assess risk, prioritise and lead their security work.

Timo Paajanen has over 30 years of experience in IT environments, with a strong background in cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, software development environments and business-critical digital services.
He has more than 20 years of experience in information security from both technical and governance perspectives, and over 20 years of leadership experience in IT and cybersecurity services — including more than 15 years on the IT management team of a large enterprise operating a highly business-critical digital environment.
His areas of expertise include technical security architecture, SOC and monitoring capabilities, vulnerability management, identity and access management, cloud security, security governance models, ISO 27001, NIS2, GDPR, DORA, AI governance, continuity planning, preparedness and risk management.
Timo has led and supported large IT and cybersecurity initiatives such as a large-scale cloud migration, merger-related IT integration, sourcing of IT infrastructure and cybersecurity services, building security programmes, and developing technical monitoring and security operations.
As an independent consultant he has delivered cybersecurity assessments, technical and administrative security development projects, regulatory readiness work and fractional CISO assignments for Finnish and European organisations. Timo is a certified information security manager (CISM) and a certified project manager (IPMA-C).
